Okay, I thought I’d seen it all in the field of Marine Corps body-related memorabilia: rank tattoos, dogtag tattoos, giant monster boot camp rings with huge fake colorful jewels, goofy mushy moto t-shirts, you know what I mean. Then I saw this guy…and I just didn’t know what to say:

…an Eagle, Globe, and Anchor ARTIFICIAL EYEBALL??
I am a female Marine currently in the Individual Ready Reserve. I like to sleep, travel, read, eat, explore, and take photographs. I read lots of news and I like reading about life in other countries. I am easily amused and my dream job is to be snoozing in a warm patch of sunlight, hopefully with a piece of tasty cheese nearby for when I wake up hungry.

I think he would make an awesome Kindergarten teacher, shape those 5-6 year olds into real warriors of the future not these soft x-box playing bubble gum chewing kids, aha!
I remember a colonel at Lejeune in the mid-90′s who had one he wore every year on Nov 10th. Name of Sutton.
GySgt Popaditch… also has a tank-gunner design and the 1st Tank Bn logo.
WOW!! Talk about Semper Fi!
This guy is a friend of mine and his is a great story. He has a new book out. He pulled down the Saddamn statue and was “The Cigar Marine” that was the poster shot for our success in Baghdad. He was actually celebrating his anniversary (hence, the cigar) but of course the media assumed it was for the victory and ran with it. EXACTLY one year later(yes, on his wedding anniversary), he was …read this slowly…hit in the head with an RPG while on top of his tank driving down a narrow Baghdad street. And survived. Blown to shit, yeah, but survived. Blew his eardrums and one eye out. Lost his sense of smell and taste too. He tried like hell to recover … read this slowly again… so he could get back with his unit in Iraq. Ended up he had to get out and now is finishing up college to be a teacher. He was the guest speaker two years ago at the SNCO Birthday Ball. And one of the finest American heroes I ever knew.
