Based on what I read about Palin, there was doubt in my head about whether it was a good idea for her to be VP for several reasons. Big surprise there, huh? Then I heard about her filmed interviews and read what people thought about those, but I thought they were exaggerating about the awfulness. Needing to press pause? Closing their eyes? Surely they must be exaggerating! Or you know, how people type “LOL” but aren’t really LOLing? So I finally watched parts of her Katie Couric interview, expecting to see some nervousness and stumbling-over-verbiage but nothing train-wreckish.
And you know what? Halfway through it dawned on me that I was involuntarily looking away, looking back, looking away…and I realized all those other people were NOT joking…
HOLY CRAP IT WAS PAINFULLY BAD!
Before I watched those clips, I was looking forward to the Biden/Palin debate thinking it would be the most entertaining debate ever…watching the Democrat cream the Republican!! Woohoo! Pass the popcorn! But now…after listening to her try to talk about politics in a fairly safe setting and still crash and burn…their debate is going to be like watching a kitten fight a lawnmower.
I am a female Marine currently in the Individual Ready Reserve. I like to sleep, travel, read, eat, explore, and take photographs. I read lots of news and I like reading about life in other countries. I am easily amused and my dream job is to be snoozing in a warm patch of sunlight, hopefully with a piece of tasty cheese nearby for when I wake up hungry.

I don’t blame you. I saw parts of it, too, and it was pretty bad, and I like her! I think she’ll watch the films, and do a lot better next time, as I’ve seen her do earlier. But, you’re just not going to like what she says however well she says it, so we’ll have to disagree on her. Remember, this kitten fought her own party and won.

You act like you like Katie Couric. What a joke she is, she has been in last place for a long time. Why does CBS keep her around. She’s going to be another Dan Rather. I’m sure that you think that Katie is a very good news achor. I think that Biden is going to be the kitty in this one. Have a good day!
