I Didn’t Take Anything….Really…

December 20th, 2005

I’ve been spending way too much time around MSgt Pincushion. I didn’t realize this until today when I walked into supply detachment’s courtyard, saw a real live Christmas tree tethered to sandbags and covered with ornaments…and my first thought was, “WHAT CAN I SWIPE FROM IT TO PUT ON OUR TREE?”

Disclaimer: No, he doesn’t steal!
He’s just always on the lookout for stuff we can use and is good at acquiring said items.

Hey Marine, that is the way you should be thinking once you are in the FMF. Semper Fi used to really mean, “screw you pal, I got what I need.” This from an old time cynical Marine.

Take Care of the Top. They usually bear watching.

Hmm. Not sure if this was a friendly comment or not…in case it wasn’t, uh, well, the story was meant to just be funny…

I’m sure it was friendly… the time honored skill of scrimshaw or however it may be referred to… is… well… a *skill*, and to be honored.

Don’t let any SeaBees get too close to your tree, though.

And if you happen to shake hands with any CB’s count your fingers later.
