I’m about to write the most absurd sentence I have ever written. Here it is:
I sleep with the remote control for my air conditioning unit on my bed, laying near my face next to my glasses because sometimes at night the AC gets so cold I wake up shivering and have to turn it off.
This is absurd for several reasons:
1. I’m in a desert war zone.
2. I have AC in this desert war zone.
3. My AC has a remote control.
4. The remote control sleeps in my bed with me.
I am a female Marine currently in the Individual Ready Reserve. I like to sleep, travel, read, eat, explore, and take photographs. I read lots of news and I like reading about life in other countries. I am easily amused and my dream job is to be snoozing in a warm patch of sunlight, hopefully with a piece of tasty cheese nearby for when I wake up hungry.

Need a blanket?
I might…or I may just swipe one of the fuzzy flower blankets from the storage room. I haven’t decided yet!
What’s really fun is when they’re left running for days and the freon leaks and the whole thing turns into a huge icecube and then it doesn’t work anymore . . . not that I would know.
Just like you don’t know anything about desert floods, right? ;-)
Watch out, it’s about to get cold and windy out there. Stay safe.
