On Friday, Josh had his second going away party. It wasn’t as heavily attended as the first but it was still fun, even though I didn’t get any more blackmail photos. After leaving Sunset, the crowd splintered apart like a bomb going off. I went to a couple other places and then a bunch of us spent the night at John’s house. I woke up the next morning, put my shoes on, poked at the fish who were staring at me from the tank, and then woke up Chris and John and told them it was time to go back to base.
When we got outside to Chris’ car, a roll of my film was sitting on the seat, all alone. WHERE’S MY CAMERA?! The doors had been unlocked all night and I didn’t see the fuzzy bag with my phone, money, and ID/credit cards either. I was about to be very angry and then I found them inside, sitting right where I left them, in some obscure little cubby hole over the fake fireplace.
Then we got back to the barracks and my CAR wasn’t there. My CAR!! Last night, since I was riding with Chris to another place and Hermie was going home, I let him and the reservist we were with take my car. But it wasn’t there! Later on, when they finally showed up, they told me they had spent the night at another friend’s house. It was creepy not knowing where my car was. Everybody laughed at me too.
We ate lunch at Cracker Barrel. Nobody believes me, but I really did end up with only one peg left in that game they have at each table. That means I am a GENIUS!
I am a female Marine currently in the Individual Ready Reserve. I like to sleep, travel, read, eat, explore, and take photographs. I read lots of news and I like reading about life in other countries. I am easily amused and my dream job is to be snoozing in a warm patch of sunlight, hopefully with a piece of tasty cheese nearby for when I wake up hungry.
