After we got off guard duty, the Gate Keeper invited me to go see Sin City with him and Derek. Before the movie started, we hung out at Logan’s bar. They drank “uncivilized” teas, beers, and a couple shots while I tried to consume an entire hot roast beef sandwich and mashed potatoes without hurting myself. I succeeded, with the exception of the rock-hard Texas toast the meat was perched on. Then I agreed to have a shot with them. Unfortunately for me, they picked Jack Daniels, which is very near the top of the Disgustingly Nasty-Tasting Alcoholic Beverage list. Blecchhchhchh…

The movie was…different…but it was pretty good. It’s apparently based on a comic book so it was mostly black and white with strategically placed colors, comic book dialogue, and gushes of blood. I kept thinking it was ending and then it would just keep on going! The Gate Keeper fell asleep and when I heard him snoring, I had fun elbowing him awake.
