Guard Duty Day Four – Komapsumnida!

That means something in Korean, possibly “thank you”. I’m not really sure any more. Anyway, today was a pretty useless, unamusing day. I brought my laptop and we spent hours numbing our brains by watching movies instead of numbing our brains by watching the walls like we normally do.

The only semi-interesting thing I did was make some South Korean officers pile all their metal stuff onto the table because they were making the metal detector screech. The Rusty Nail speculated that they were generals because he saw stars, but who knows…Our major was giving them and some of our officers a tour of the warehouse. A captain I know from the building where I usually work tried chatting with me about how it was better to be here than there. I told him I wasn’t so sure…
